House fire on Joseph Avenue near Avenue D

Around 6:20 PM Rochester Fire Department we’re getting multiple calls for a house fire on Joseph Avenue near Avenue D. When Engine 17 arrived the building was in flames with smoke on the first floor. The fire was eventually put out.

The 3 adults and 3 children made it out safe with no injuries reported.

Everyone that lived in the home was assisted by the Red Cross.

The kitchen and living room areas sustained water and fire damage. The building did not have any power at the time of the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Rochester Fire Department.
