The Rochester Police Department has confirmed that one person was shot on Gladys Street on Wednesday evening.
Around 9:20 PM Wednesday a shot spotter activation came in for numerous shots fired. At the same time, Rochester Police received multiple calls for person shot In the area of Gladys Street.
When officers arrived on scene they found a 27-year-old male, from Rochester New York had been shot at least once in the upper body. The male was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where he has life-threatening injuries.
There were numerous recovered shell casings found on scene near where the victim was shot. It appears the shell casings are from a rifle.
There are no suspects in custody at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
The Rochester Police Department is asking anyone with information to call 911.
