Protests on I-490 expressway In Rochester New York

Updated: Jul 22, 2020

A protest began at Martin Luther King Junior Memorial Park at 2 P.M.. The protesters then made their way to I-490 expressway in Rochester, New York. Organizers of the protest say they’ve been planning this for a while, and plan to be back again to protest on the expressway. The protest lasted over two hours and no arrests were made.

There was an altercation involving a couple of males versus protesters after a punch was thrown but no charges were pressed. The Rochester Police Department and New York State troopers were blocking certain parts of the expressway stopping vehicles from getting near protesters. One of the organizers hired private security guards to help protect him from recent threats. There is another planned protest on the expressway, but there is no post to date.

GSL SHOW will keep updating information as more details are posted.
