RPD officer injured on North Clinton Avenue during incident

On October 23 shortly before 3:00pm the Rochester Police Department responded to the area of North Clinton Avenue and Evergreen Street for a report of vice activity. When officers arrived on scene they found a male with a semi-automatic handgun. Officer attempted to arrest the male, when a struggle ensued. During the struggle another male threw an object at the officers striking one of them in the face.

The suspect who threw the object at the officers ran from the scene and was arrested shortly after on Evergreen Street.

Kadeem Pryor, of Rochester, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and resisting arrest.

Calvin Campbell, of Rochester, was also arrested and charged with assault in the second degree.

The officer was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with minors injuries.
