14-year-old shot on Lyell Avenue

On Sunday night just before 10:00pm the Rochester Police Department responded to the area of Lyell Avenue and Plymouth Street in the City of Rochester for a report of a person shot. As officers arrived on scene, they were notified that the victim was on Rosemary Street. As officers made their way to Rosemary Street, they located a 14-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to his lower body.

The victim was taken to Rochester General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspects are in custody. The Rochester Police Department is asking anyone with information to call 911.
