2 dead after being shot near bar on North Street


Around 1:45 A.M this morning Rochester police officers were in the area of North Street and Weld Street when they heard multiple gunshots being fired in the area of the S&T lounge at 328 North Street.


Officers arrived on scene, where they located one gunshot wound victim in the middle of the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second victim was located in the parking lot near the facility and was transported to Strong memorial hospital where he was also pronounce shortly after arriving.


Rochester police says in a statement.

“It is unknown at this time. If there were multiple individuals involved in the gunfire and if the victims hit by the gunfire were the intended victims. There was a large crowd that exited the bar just prior to the shooting but is currently unknown if those were involved inside the bar prior”.


Both victims were in their 30s and 40s and have not been identified yet.

There are no suspects in custody.


The major crime unit is investigating and asking anyone with information to please call 911.
