2 injured in separate shootings within minutes of each other
On Tuesday evening around 5:00pm the Rochester Police Department responded to Brown Street and Eddy Street for a report of a shooting. As officers arrived on scene, they found a 31-year-old male who had been shot at least once in the upper body.
The victim was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
As the Rochester Police Department was investigating that incident, officers were dispatched to a report of another shooting just after 5:00pm. The second call came from the 100 block of Cedarwood Terrace. Callers advised that they heard several gunshots.
Officers responded to the scene but did not locate any victims. As officers were investigating the Cedarwood Terrace incident, a 20-year-old woman was dropped off at Rochester General Hospital by private vehicle. The woman had suffered at least one gunshot to her lower body.
The female victim is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Rochester Police Department advised that they are still investigating both incidents and that no suspects are in custody.
