2 people shot on Weld Street

Around 7:45 PM Tuesday night Richester police officers responded to Weld Street for reports of a person shot.

When officers arrived on scene they discovered that another person was also shot at the same scene but was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle.

AMR ambulance transported one of the victims to an area hospital where his injuries are life-threatening.

The other victim has non-life-threatening injuries and was shot in the lower body.

There are no suspects in custody and anyone with information as to asked to call 911.
