3 Separate homicides including a 15 year old boy in Rochester
North Goodman Street murder:
Around 6:20 P.M 48-year-old Todd Jones was shot multiple times in the 700 block of N. Goodman Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Todd Jones was standing at the corner of the two streets when a suspect walked up to Jones, pulled out a gun and shot him multiple times. It is unknown why he was shot.
Whitney Street murder:
Officers were called to Whitney Street around 6:30 p.m. Investigators said they found the body of 38-year-old Constance Henry.
One injured, one teen dead on Jefferson Avenue following a shooting involving stolen vehicles:
Around 11pm on Friday night, the Rochester Police Department advised that a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old arrived at University of Rochester Medical Center after being shot. The 16-year-old sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was discharged from the hospital. The 15-year-old sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. He did undergo surgery but died two hours later.
Rochester Police investigators determined that the two teens, along with a third person, were driving around the area of Jefferson Avenue and Flint Street in a stolen car when the teens were shot. It is unknown if the shooter was in another vehicle or standing on the side of the road. Two of the suspects from the vehicle were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle. They were transported to the Rush Juvenile Detention Center.
One of the teens arrested was out of custody for a previous stolen vehicle charge. He had an active warrant for not showing up for a scheduled court appearance.
