Betty White dead at 99


Hollywood actress and legend Betty White has died at the age of 99.

Betty White known for her role in “The Golden Girls”, “Boston Legal”, and “Hot in Cleveland” died at the age of 99, just weeks before her 100th birthday. According to Betty Whites longtime agent, she passed away at her home just before 9:30am on Friday.

Betty White began her acting career back in the 1940’s when she took a role on the radio show “Blondie”. In 1949 she got her first TV show when she was named as the co-host of “Hollywood on Television”.

White made her breakout comedic role in 1973 when she joined the cast of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”. White later went on to her most memorable role when she played Rose on “The Golden Girls” which ran for 7 seasons.

During her career, White won 5 Primetime Emmy Awards for her roles in “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”, “The Golden Girls, and her 1975 “SNL appearance.

Betty White would have turned 100 on January 17th.
