Child shot on Augustine Street

The Rochester Police Department has confirmed that a 15-year-old female was shot on Saturday night.

According to the Rochester Police Department on Saturday night the Rochester Police Department responded to Augustine Street between Dewey Avenue and Peirpont Street for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived on scene they found the 15-year-old female with a gunshot wound to her upper body.

The female was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Rochester Police Department is investigating the incident.

As of this time, no one is in custody.
