Easter Sunday

Easter was started back in 725, when Saint Bede wrote “The Sunday following the full Moon which falls on or after the equinox will give the lawful Easter." The full moon he was referring to is not an astronomical cull moon, but the 14th day of a lunar month.

Today, Easter is celebrated by numerous denominations. Easter in the Christian faith commemorates the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, as described in the New Testament. People today celebrate Easter by either going to church or spending the day with family.

Many cities throughout the country host Easter Egg Hunts for the children, along with a day for families to spend together and have food, drinks, and play games.

The Mall at Greece Ridge, Eastview Mall, Town of Webster, and Town of Spencerport held events for kids to see the Easter Bunny and partake in Easter Egg Hunts.
