Fatal motorcycle crash on Upper Falls Boulevard near Almira Street.

After 6 P.M. Friday the Rochester Police Department were called to a motor vehicle accident.

Police says a gray Infinity SUV was heading north on Almira Street at around 6 P.M.. As the Infinity SUV crossed the intersection, it was struck by a motorcycle that was traveling west on Upper Falls Boulevard. The motorcycle struck the driver’s side door of the SUV.

Nearby citizens attempted to provide aide to the motorcyclist. The Rochester Fire Department arrived on scene and pronounced the motorcyclist dead on scene.

Sources say the driver of the SUV is 26-year-old Tyquan Rivera from Rochester. He was issued citations for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Tyquan Rivera shot a Rochester police officer back in 2009 when he was 14-year-old. Tyquan did served jail time, but was released as new bail reform measures went into effect in January 2020.

The name of the victim driving the motorcycle has not been released at this time.

The road has since re-opened, but the incident is still under investigation.
