Female shot to death in front of children on Clarissa Street
On Friday afternoon shortly after 2:00 P.M. the Rochester Police Department responded to the area of Clarissa Street for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a female sitting in her vehicle in the parking lot at 290 Clarissa Street shot multiple times. The female was pronounced dead on scene.
The Rochester Police Department advised that at the time of the shooting, the female victim’s children were in the vehicle and ran to a nearby house for help.
The Rochester Police Chief, Cynthia Herriott-Sullivan is on scene and along with social services.
This marks Rochester’s 29th homicide of the year.
The scene is still active, and the area is closed off to traffic while the Rochester Police Department continues their investigation.
