Fire destroys house on Rogers Avenue

On Thursday around 4:14pm the Rochester Fire Department responded to the area of Rogers Avenue after receiving numerous 911 calls for a house fire. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found heavy smoke coming from a 2-story, single family home.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

It is unknown if anyone was home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.

The Rochester Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
