Fire on Ames Street leaves house destroyed


On Wednesday afternoon around 1:30pm the Rochester Fire Department responded to a reported of a house fire on Ames Street. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the three-story home.


Additional fire crews responded to the scene to assist with extinguishing the fire. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within 30 minutes.


No one was injured in the fire.


The Rochester Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
