High winds expected to hit Rochester

A cold front is pushing through the Rochester area, which is bringing heavy winds that are causing damage to trees and power outages throughout the area.

The front which has come through Rochester is already producing heavy winds with some isolated power outages. The winds are expected to gust between 60-70mph, with the strongest winds around 7pm-8pm this evening.

As the heavier winds come through the area, the Rochester area could see widespread power outages, down trees, and unsafe driving conditions.

The National Weather Services has issued a high wind warning for the area.
