House fire on Murray Street

Around 3 PM Thursday afternoon Rochester Firefighter responded to Murray Street for reports of a house fire. When fire crews arrived on scene there was smoke and flames coming from the home fire crews the fire started on the porch and made its way into the home.

Battalion chief Rochester Firefighter says the fire was put under control and under 20 minutes. No citizens are firefighters were injured during this incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
