Large crowd dispersed on Jefferson Avenue at Champlain Street


Around 10 P.M. Rochester Police Department was at the area of Jefferson Avenue and Champlain Street for a report of a party. Officers arrived on scene and found a house party with about 200 partygoers. Additional officer's were called to the scene to help disperse the crowd.


The additional officers arrived on scene and suited up in riot gear as a precaution. The Rochester Police Department shut down multiple roads and peacefully disperse the crowds.


The crowd dispersed in less than 30 minutes with no officers injured or partygoers being injuried.


During a time when the world is in a pandemic crowds like these are not allowed and house parties of this amount is not allowed in New York State.


There were no arrests made and the roads have been reopened in the area.
