Male dead after being ambushed on Bernard Street near North Street

Rochester Police Officers were at Rochester General Hospital on Sunday 9/13/2020 working an incident when a private vehicle arrived at the hospital with a male victim in the front passenger seat with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body. They male victim was taken into the ER, where he died from his injuries.

Rochester Police were able to confirm that the male victim and the driver of the car he was in were parked on Bernard Street and North Street when a male walked up and started shooting.

The male victim was identified as Jermaine Shelton, who is a 35 year old city of Rochester resident.

Rochester Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident. No suspects are in custody.
