Male killed on Lang Street

On Tuesday afternoon around 2:20pm the Rochester Police Department received numerous 911 calls for a report of multiple gunshots heard in the area of Lang Street and North Clinton Avenue. New York State Police arrived on scene and found a male lying in the driveway of a residence located at 18 Lang Street. As troopers approached the male, they noticed that the male was deceased. The Rochester Police Departments Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene.

The male, who was identified as Andrew Coffey, 34, a city of Rochester resident, was shot multiple times.

The Rochester Police Department is investigating the shooting and has no suspects in custody.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call 911.
