Male shot and killed on Webster Avenue in Rochester

Around 1 AM Sunday officers were responding to Webster Avenue near Lamont place for multiple shots by the activations and shots being heard in the area by nearby officers.

Rochester police officers quickly searched the area, finding a male victim laying in the ground who had been shot on Webster Avenue.

The male victim was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The victim has not been identified pending family notification.

Police say no there are no suspects in custody, but there is a suspect vehicle description of a white Dodge charger with blacked rims.

There was a call for a person hit by a vehicle but that was not confirmed that the victim was hit by a car.

Police are asking anyone with any information to please come forward. You can call 911 with any information.
