Male shot in the 19 ward in Rochester

A 35-year old male walked into Strong Memorial Hospital around 5:30 P.M. after being shot. The male had a gunshot wound to the upper body.

During that time there was a call on Arnett Boulevard near Westgate Terrace for the report of a large fight. When officers arrived on scene they did find a large group but they said there was no fight.

Police say the two incidents are related and the 35-year-old city man’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
