Man attacked and ran over by SUV on Monroe Avenue

A video that was recorded yesterday night by an an anonymous viewer sent to GSL News, shows a man being attacked in another being ran over by a white SUV shown in a video.

The man being attacked by several group of males are showed in the video punching and kicking him. After that he was ran over and the white SUV parked on top of his body.

Another man was hit by the white SUV as it was backing up.

Rochester police released a statement:

"Early this morning - at approximately 2:07 am, Rochester Police Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Monroe Avenue for the report of a person struck by a car. Upon arrival, Officers did locate the victim - a 25 year old - City of Rochester resident - who was suffering from injuries to his upper body. This victim was transported to Strong Hospital - via AMR — where he was treated for his non-life-threatening injuries. Through investigation - it was learned that a large fight broke out between several individuals in the roadway. At one point the victim was knocked to the ground and run over by a vehicle. At this time - this incident is being investigated by the RPD Central Investigation Section and anyone with information is asked to please call 911"
