Man dies after being shot on Genesee Street in Rochester

Around 3:45 PM Rochester police officers responded to Genesee Street near Kirkland Road for reports of a male shot.

When officers arrived on scene they found a male who had been shot at least once CPR was immediately administered at the scene.

The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance. A Rochester firefighter was also on board helping with medical treatment.

The male victim was later pronounced dead at the hospital due to is injuries.

There was a lot of children in the area when shots were fired. They were crying and yelling but was helped by police.

There are no suspects in custody and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
