Man found guilty of Jefferson Avenue arson murder
A jury found Troy Parker guilty of second-degree arson and murder for the death of Fantasia Stone in April 2023.
Troy Parker doused Fantasia Stone in accelerant and lit her on fire. Prosecutors say Troy Parker lit Fantasia Stone intentionally on fire, causing her death on Jefferson Avenue.

Assistant District Attorney: "In an act that I can only describe as savage, Troy Parker killed Fantasia Stone following an argument," said Assistant District Attorney Patrick Gallagher. "Troy Parker's actions were completely inhumane. I want to thank the Rochester Police Department and the Rochester Fire Department for their response and investigation, in addition to the cooperation from the community that resulted in the identification and apprehension of Troy Parker. The Monroe County District Attorney's Office will always remember Fantasia Stone and her loved ones who continue to mourn her."
Troy Parker will be sentenced on February 28, 2024, in front of Monroe County Court Judge Michael Dollinger.
