Morning house fire on Jefferson Avenue

Rochester fire crews responded to a house fire early this morning around 5:20 AM.

Rochester firefighters quickly responded and arrived with a home with flames and smoke coming from it.

The fire was put out in under 20 minutes and no one was inside of the home during the fire.

An extra engine was called on scene due to the heavy flames and smoke, RG&E where called on scene to cut off all utilities this is typically normal for a housefire this size.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. When more updates are available it will be here on this article.
