NYPD officers shot in Brooklyn during domestic violence call

According to the New York Daily News NYPD responsed to a 911 call at an apartment located on Bergen St. near Saratoga Ave. in Brownsville just after 3:25 p.m., cops said.


As officers arrived and entered the apartment, the officers confronted a 39-year-old man, identified as an ex-convict and the son of a tenant, who reached for one of the officer’s guns, police said.


The suspect and two officers struggled, and at some point during the altercation several shots were fired, hitting one of the officers in the hand and the other in the leg, police said.
