Overnight violence injuries two
On Tuesday night at 6:45pm the Rochester Police Department responded to Dewey Avenue area for a report of shots fired. As officers were responding to the scene, they received numerous 911 calls or a person who had been shot driving in a private vehicle to Rochester General Hospital.
The vehicle that was in route to Rochester General Hospital crashed on Route 104 at North Clinton Avenue.
The victim a 24-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim has non-life-threatening injuries.
At 10:00pm the Rochester Police Department responded to Maryland Street and Glenwood Avenue for a report of a person stabbed. As officers arrived on scene, they found a 42-year-old victim with a stab wound. The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Rochester Police Department is asking anyone with information on either incident to call 911.
