Rochester Red Wings Honor Officer Wright

The Rochester Red Wings announced that Rochester Police Officer Denny Wright will be throwing out the first pitch before Sunday afternoons Red Wings vs Lehigh Valley IronPigs game.

Officer Wright, a 20-plus year veteran of the Rochester Police Department, was injured back in October of 2019. During that incident, Officer Wright responded to a call on Peck Street, where he was attacked and stabbed multiple times. Officer Wright ended up losing his vision in the attack.

The Rochester Police Department Honored Officer Wright recently when they awarded him the Medal of Valor and the Purple Heart.

Sunday’s game is set to start at 1:05pm.
