Shooting on Hague Street kills one
On Saturday evening shortly after 7:00pm the Rochester Police Department responded to the area of Hague Street for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived on scene, they found 2 victims on Lisbon Street that had been shot. One of the victims, a 16-year-old male was pronounced dead on scene.
The second victim, a 30-year-old male was taken to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Rochester Police Captain Frank Umbrino advised that there was a small family gathering at the time the shooting took place. Captain Umbrino stated that it is too early in the investigating to know what caused the shooting and how the two victim knew each other.
The area of Hague Street was closed off to the public for several hours while the Rochester Police Department investigated the shooting.
