Suspects take off after shooting gun in same area where kids bed was shot into

On Saturday around 1:20pm officers with the Rochester Police Department were handling an incident on Thomas Street when they heard gunshots. As officer were investigating the gunshots, they saw two males running from the area. One of the males had a gun in his hand. Officers began to chase after the two males on foot. New York State Police K9 officers assisted the Rochester Police Department and we’re able to apprehend both suspected.

One of the suspects was bit by the K9 and was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries to his lower body. The Rochester Police Department is still investigating the incident.
