Vehicle crashes porch after suspects inside car involved in shots fired
Police say Genesee Section officer's responded to Minq Longue at 334 West Main Street for the report of shots fired around 1:50 A.M. Wednesday morning. Once on
scene, officers were directed towards two vehicles that were involved in a gunfight.
Officers attempted to stop one of the cars, but it fled. The suspects led police on a short pursuit, which ended when the vehicle struck a porch of a home at 316 Epworth Street. The
then occupants all fled on foot.
Tactical Unit officers, N.Y. State Police Troopers, Central Section, and Lake Section
assisted Genesee Section with locating and safely arresting three vehicle occupants. A
loaded firearm was recovered as well as narcotics packaged for sale.
Corey Coleman, age 24, a city resident, was charged with Criminal
Possession of a Weapon in the second degree, Criminal Possession of a
Weapon in the third degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled
Substance in the third degree, and violations of the N.Y. State Vehicle
and Traffic Law.
Shondale Johnson, age 26, a city resident, was charged with Criminal
Possession of a Weapon in the second degree, Criminal Possession of a
Weapon in the third degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled
Substance in the third degree. Jhevin Williams, 22, was charged with second and third degree criminal possession of a weapon
All the male suspects were booked into the Monroe County jail and arraigned in Rochester City Court.
The home the vehicle struck was vacant and no one was injured during the pursue.
The investigation is ongoing.
