Violent 4th of July day in Rochester New York

The Rochester Police Department has been investigating 6 separate shootings throughout the city that have left 7 people injured.

 

On July 4 just before 11pm, the Rochester Police Department responded to North Goodman Street for a 29-year-old male who was shot in the leg.  At the same time, officers were also responding to Cottage Street and Jefferson Avenue for a 30-year-old male who was shot in the torso. 

 

Around midnight, officers responded to Martin Luther King Jr Park for a 19-year-old male who was shot.  At 12:30am, officers also received calls for a shooting at Widman Street and Rauber Street.  When officers arrived on scene they found a 25-year-old female and 44-year-old male who were also shot. 

 

While officers were investigating the incident on Widman Street and Rauber Street two males, one 22-year-old and one 23-year-old walked into Rochester General Hospital with gunshot wounds.  Officers were able to confirm that one of the men was shot on Sterling Street and Sylvan Street while the other was shot on Webster Avenue near Bay Street. 

 

All 7 victims have non-life-threatening injuries.

 

The Rochester Police Department advised all the investigations are ongoing.  No suspects have been arrested.
