Violent overnight in Rochester leaves 3 injured


The Rochester Police Department responded to 2 shootings and 1 stabbing throughout the city overnight.

The first incident occurred around 10:00pm on Thursday night when Rochester Police responded to Diringer Place and North Goodman Street for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived on scene, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to the Rochester Police Department a male and female were inside their home when someone began to shoot into their home.

Both were transported by AMR to Strong Memorial Hospital where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The second incident occurred just after 11:00pm, when officers were called to Magee Avenue and Electric Avenue for a report of a person stabbed. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 39-year-old male who was stabbed at least once.

The male was transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

A third incident, which occurred around midnight, had the Rochester Police Department responding to Dewey Avenue and Seyle Terrace for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived on scene, they found a male on Driving Park Avenue who had sustained a gunshot wound.

The male was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspects have been arrested in any of the incidents.
