Rochester man charged following Monroe Avenue fire

A Rochester man is facing charges following an investigation by the Arson Task Force. Back in March, Fire officials say 27-year-old Ryan Farrell got into an argum

ent with someone at an apartment building on Monroe Avenue and set a fire on the stairwell. The fire was quickly put out and no one inside was hurt. During the arson investigation, officials linked Farrell to a burglary at the Half Pint Pub on Park Avenue. The burglary happened shortly before the fire. Officials say Farrell broke into the pub and stole numerous items. Farrell was charged with arson and burglary. He was sent to the Monroe County Jail.
