3 people shot on Lake Avenue and West Ridge Road

Rochester police say just before 5:40 PM Rochester police officers responded to the intersection of Lake Avenue and W. Ridge Rd. for a port of two people shot.

Upon officer's arrival, they learned that a 21 year old female was shot at least once in the upper body and was transported to Strong Hospital.

A 18-year-old male was also shot at least once in the upper body it was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.

While officers were at the scene a 911 call came in for a third person who had been shot that was dropped off at Rochester General Hospital. The 18-year-old male was shot at least one time in the upper body.

All three victims are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries in our expected to survive.

Police say in a press release "The initial investigation revealed three victims were occupying a vehicle stopped at a red light. At this time, a suspect vehicle approached and opened fire. Also inside the vehicle were at least two other individuals who were not injured as a result of the gunfire. As this is a very busy intersection."

There are no suspects in custody.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please call 911.
