3-year-old shot while sitting in his car seat on North Clinton Avenue

Around 5:30 PM tonight Rochester police officers were in the area of North Clinton Avenue when they heard shots being fired.


Officers quickly reacting and moving into the area. They say two groups were shooting at each other and Rochester police officers followed them to their locations. The suspects were taken into custody a short time later.


During the shots fired, a three-year-old sitting in his car seat was struck in the middle of crossfire and is in critical condition at Rochester General Hospital after being transported by private vehicle.


Mayor Malik Evans and Rochester Police Chief David Smith says they will upgrade the police presence on North Clinton Avenue staging officers in the area.


Police say they are heavily investigating this and as details emerge they will be available here on GSL SHOW.
