Cottage Street home damaged by fire

On Monday around 5:15pm the Rochester Fire Department responded to the area of Cottage Street for a report of a house fire. When firefighters arrived on scene they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the first floor of 481 Cottage Street.

Shortly after arrival on scene by the initial units a second alarm was called.

The Rochester Fire Department is still actively fighting the fire.

The area is currently closed off to the public while firefighters work to put the fire out.
