Fight causes lockdown at East High School, gun involved

On Tuesday afternoon around 3:00pm the Rochester Police Department responded to East High School for a report of 100 people fighting and a male with a gun. Upon the initial report, East High School was placed on lockdown.

As officers arrived on scene, they did not locate any individuals fighting, nor did they locate anyone with a gun. Witnesses on scene stated that a fight did occur and that a male who was not involved in the fight pulled a gun. All of the people involved, including the male with the gun left the scene prior to officers arriving on scene.

The Rochester Police Department did search the school grounds along with the inside of the school. After searching the school, officers lifted the lockdown.

Anyone with information surrounding the incident is asked to call 911.
