Fire destroys building on South Clinton Avenue


On Friday night just after 11:00pm the Rochester Fire Department responded to 810 South Clinton Avenue for a report of a building fire. Upon arrival on scene, firefighters found smoke and flames coming from a 2-story building, with reports of people trapped.

Firefighters were able to rescue the persons trapped in the building.

The fire was put out shortly after the arrival of the Rochester Fire Department.

The Rochester Fire Department advised that the fire appears to have been in a hallway, trapping people in their apartments.

The Rochester Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.

No injuries were reported.
