Fire destroys home on North Street

On Thursday afternoon around 1:45pm the Rochester Fire Department responded to North Street for a report of a house fire. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found smoke and flames coming from a 2-story, multi-family home.

Firefighters were able to rescue 2 adults and a child from a 2nd floor window. A 3rd adult was removed from within the home by firefighters and was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within 30 minutes after their arrival on scene.

The Rochester Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
