House fire with people trapped on Lyell Avenue next to fire department

Around 3:00 P.M the Rochester Fire Department responded to 458 Lyell Avenue for house on fire with multiple people trapped.

Engine five was the next-door fire department which they responded in seconds when they heard screaming. Two people who were in the home at the time had to jump out of the window causing injuries to them selve.

There were eight people living in the home but seven we’re only home at the time Everyone inside was accounted for no one no one was seriously injured.

The fire was put out within minutes of firefighters arriving and noticing the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation in more details will be released as an investigation continues.
