Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty of Kenosha shooting

A jury in Kenosha, Wisconsin has found Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty of first-degree intentional homicide and four other felony charges.

Kyle Rittenhouse was arrested last year after he had shot and killed 2 individuals who were attending a Black Lives Matter protesting. Rittenhouse was seen on video during the protest carrying an AR-15 style rifle.

Rittenhouse’s defense team argued that he shot Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber when he felt his life was in danger. A third person was shot, but their injuries were not life-threatening.

The prosecution portrayed the three victims as heroes, stating that all they were trying to do was stop Rittenhouse, who they thought was an active shooter, from harming protesters.

There is an active protest outside of the Kenosha Courthouse.
