Officer injured and three people arrested during memorial outrage on Chili Avenue near Salina Street
Last night three males were arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Two of the males had additional charges for Resisting Arrest.
Two officers were injured and released from the hospital shortly after.
Over 100 people gathered near the 500 block of Chili Avenue. The gathering was supposed to be a peaceful memorial says bystanders. As police arrived to disperse the crowd things got out of hand. During the incident individuals began to throw bottles and other objects at police. Two police officers were injured during the incident. Both officers were taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injures.
New York State is still in phase 1 of reopening so gatherings of this size are not allowed.
