Police activity on Denver Street, shots fired

On Tuesday evening just after 8:00pm, officers with the Rochester Police Department were in the area of Denver Street and Rosewood Terrace when they saw several males shooting at one another. Officers pursued two of the males that they saw with handguns. The males led officers on a foot chase through several backyards, eventually catching both males, and taking them into custody.

The Rochester Police Department advised that the initial reports were that this incident was an officer involved shooting. After investigating the incident, the Rochester Police Department confirmed that no officers shot their weapons during the incident.

The two males who were taken into custody are facing charges. Those charged are unknown at this time.

The Rochester Police Department confirmed that no one was injured during the incident.
