Rochester 4th of July Event

On Monday evening the City of Rochester announced that they will be hosting their annual 4th of July celebration. The event will consist of a drone light show and fireworks.

Mayor Lovely Warren said “As we gather with friends and family to celebrate, let us remember the spirit of Independence Day and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep our country free.”

The drone light show will be put on by Detroit-based drone show company Firefly. The show will last about 15 minutes.

The Drone show will begin on July 4, 2021 at 10:00pm with the annual Rochester 4th of July Fireworks starting at 10:15pm. The fireworks will be launched from the Frederick Douglass-Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge.

The best viewing areas for both events will be from the High Falls area. The Pont de Rennes Bridge, High Falls Terrace, Main Street Bridge, Court Street Bridge, Chestnut Street Bridge, and the surrounding areas will be open for the public for viewing.

Free parking will be available at the Court Street, South Avenue, Sister Cities, High Falls, and Washington Square parking garages.
