RPD investigating 3 shootings overnight
The Rochester Police Department responded to 3 different shooting calls throughout the day on Saturday October 24.
The first shooting occurred just before 8:00pm on Taylor Street. Officers responded to the scene after shots were fired at a house. As officers were on scene, the officers were made aware of one victim, who drove himself to LeFrois Street before calling 911. AMR transported the victim, a 31 year old male to Strong Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to his torso.
The second shooting took place at Henion Street and West Main Street just after 9:00pm. Officers stated that the victim was a 23 year old male, who was transported from the scene to Rochester General Hospital by private vehicle after sustaining a gunshot wound to his lower extremity.
The third shooting occurred on Sobieski Street around 9:30pm where a vehicle and house were struck by gunfire. Officers advised that no one was struck by the gunfire.
Both victims are expected to survive.
All 3 shootings are being investigated by the Rochester Police Department. It is unknown at this time if any suspects have been arrested.
