Six juveniles arrest after police chase

On Tuesday night around 11:40pm the Rochester Police Department responded to St. Paul Street and East Main Street for a report of a robbery.  As officers arrived on scene, the victims advised that a group of suspects threatened them with a hammer, robbed them of their property, and fled in a vehicle.

 

Officers were able to locate the driving down a city street.  As officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver led them on a chase.  The chase came to an end on Bartlett Street and Jefferson Avenue.  

 

Six individuals exited the vehicle and ran on foot.  Officers were able to apprehend all six individuals.  The suspects ranged in age from 12 to 17.  

 

Officers were able to determine that the vehicle the suspects were in was a stolen Hyundai Elantra.
