Stolen Kia involved in shooting on Dewey Avenue, one person dead

Around 3:15pm today the Rochester Police Department responded to the 100 block of Electric Avenue for a Shot Spotter activation and additional c-calls for a person shot.

Officers responded to the scene and found one person on scene who had been shot in a vehicle.

The unidentified victim was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The Rochester Police Department has confirmed that this is an active crime scene and they are still working on more obtaining information. 

The stolen Kia was found on a nearby street unoccupied.
